Andy and I decided to take a ride to Hoover Dam. We had visited with my parents pre-911, so, at that time, life was simpler. Today, a new bridge is being built between Nevada and Arizona so that traffic no longer will be carried over the dam. A sad comment on our current society and a reflection on the naivete of the past. Since it was Good Friday, the place was packed with tourists. It was a slow move through the single lane road. The visitor center's garage was full, the look out points were packed with cars, and the dam was flooded by a myriad of tourists catching glimpses of the wonder of human technology.
