Unfortunately, the beauty of this cathedral was hidden behind the scaffolding. Inside, there was 30+ people cleaning every nook and cranny. We were told that that day, Friday, 10/3/2008, was the Feast of St. Francis Assisi and that they were preparing for the ceremony later that day.
Note the back of altar. It is common to churches in the Southwest - paintings of saints - which is different than churches in the Northeast.
