Ok, I [Adriana] admit that the one thing I really wanted to see in NM was Los Alamos. It was my main reason for coming here. Fast forward to last Friday when we were diverted by the beauty of Santa Fe which limited the time we needed to go to our next destination. However, my loving husband knew how much I really wanted to see Los Alamos, and, not wanting to return to NM any time soon, he drove us there anyway. I am extremely grateful that he did. However, we WILL return.
Here are some pics of the drive from Santa Fe to Los Alamos. There was light rain. As you can see from the pics, the homes look more like what we are used to back in NE OH. We did not see any adobe architecture. This is understandable considering the time and circumstances when these homes were built. Also, we noticed that the homes were side-by-side duplexes. (Forgive me if that is not the technical realty term.)
