New Mexico Museum of Space History - Alamogordo, NM

Since it was raining on Sunday morning, we went to the space history museum. It had very interesting exhibits. Holloman Air Force Base, near Alamogordo, was the location where they used chimpanzees and humans to test the effects of speed on the body in preparation for space travel. It started raining as we were viewing the external exhibits so we did not get to see the site where the first chimpanzee in space, HAM, is buried.
